Staff Accountant 

We are looking for a Staff Accountant for our established business located in Ingersoll, Ontario. 

Job Responsibilities: 

  • Reconcile general ledgers and maintain proper working papers for review and record keeping. 
  • Post journal entries such as accounting accrual, depreciation, prepaid expenses, etc. and maintain respective working papers. 
  • Prepare bank reconciliations and ensure all transactions are posted and cleared within the same period. 
  • Update various account schedules and workbooks 
  • Ensure month-end, quarter-end and year-end deadlines are met also, help Auditors with annual and periodic audit. 
  • Process demand run and post the transaction in the system daily 
  • Back up and vacation coverage for other team members 
  • Other tasks, as required 
  • Establishing the accuracy, timeliness, and completeness of the general ledger accounts. 
  • Compile monthly, quarterly, and annual returns. (WSIB, EHT, HST ETC) 
  • Work with other team members and coordinate with team members of other terminals. 


  • Diploma/Associate/ Bachelor with major in accounting or equivalent 
  • Two years of relevant experience.  
  • Previous experience in an accounting firm is an asset. 
  • Basic to intermediate knowledge of Excel, Word and Outlook required.  
  • Effective communication, organization, and interpersonal skills 
  • Detail-oriented and able to identify errors.  
  • Advanced ability to manage and prioritize a complex workload while adhering to performance goals. 
  • Experience with ERP is an asset 
  • Experience with Supervisor responsibilities an asset

  • 50,000 to 57,000 

Schedule: – 

  • 8:00 am – 4:30 pm (8-hour shift) 
  • Monday to Friday 
  • No weekends 
  • Overtime after 40 hours (if needed)
